Session Share: “Photographing in an Orchard”

June 7, 2010 | Posted by Veronica Reeve

    Call me crazy…

…but these might be the cutest kids you’ve ever seen….and I’m not just saying that because I’m their aunt! I love to see my sister and her family, and unfortunately, it doesn’t happen very often. I got lucky enough to visit her a while back and we took the oppotunity to take some pictures of the kids.

This little 2 year old is one of the smartest girls around. The things that come out of her mouth amaze me! She is hilarious, a bit of a rebel (according to her dad), and darling, obviously.

(Enter: Cloud…can you see a change in lighting?)

Meet my charming nephew. I was so happy to spend some time with him.

Inspiration: The kids!   Watching them play and explore and being there to document it.
Favorite Element: I love the proportionality and balance of the orchard.
Biggest Challenge: The light!  The weather couldn’t make up it’s mind…sunny one minute, and shady the next.
What Clients Said: They were very pleased with the photos.
Final words from Photographer: Orchards are such a fun place to take family portraits!  Spring blossoms, summer trees adorned with fruit, bright colorful leaves in the fall, or snow covered limbs make for beautiful photographs year-round.
