The Season of Hope | Session Share

If you follow my blog you probably know that my four year old son was diagnosed with cancer when he was 9 months old. Neuroblastoma to be exact. A few weeks ago I had the chance to photograph a sweet little guy who is just about the same age as my own son. His name is Nathan and he has the sweetest smile. And the most contagious laughter. And an incredibly loving spirit. Nathan loves trains. And his mom and dad. And even his little sister. Nathan is also battling Neuroblastoma. He has undergone 6 rounds of chemotherapy, tumor resection surgery, 2 stem cell transplants, radiation, Accutane, and CH14.18 antibodies. To say that he is a fighter is an understatement. Nathan’s end of treatment scans were scheduled for the end of November and the results that came in showed no evidence of disease! I think 2011 is going to be a great year for this little guy and his sweet family.
