Introducing NAPCP Retreat Speaker Lauren Carnes!
With a background in marketing, public relations and social media management, Lauren has always been a lover of telling great stories. For 6 years she worked alongside various brands in assessing, defining and telling the stories that made them unique. After years of sharing stories through text, Lauren’s focus shifted to sharing stories through images when she launched Lauren Carnes Photography. In photography, that story may be one of a couple beginning a new life together, of a delicious dish being created, or of a business or product launching. In all these things Lauren loves to serve people wholeheartedly through capturing moments, memories and experiences to tell a story for years to come.
In addition to photography, she coaches other photographers and creatives on photography and effective brand building, marketing and social media efforts to fit their unique brand. Lauren truly enjoys lifting others up and encouraging them to build a business that suits their needs and desires. With a passion for fostering community, Lauren leads monthly creative meet-ups in her city through the Rising Tide Society.
When she doesn’t have a camera in hand, she can be found spending time with her husband, Chip, and their fur-baby, Sophie, in their home together in Augusta, Georgia. Lauren loves to cook, host people for dinner (or brunch!), pursue creative hobbies, and explore new and unique cities.
Lauren Carnes Photography has been featured in multiple publications including Southern Weddings, Weddings Unveiled, The Bridal Theory, Cottage Hill, Style Me Pretty Living, The Celebration Society and HGTVGardens.

Introducing NAPCP Retreat Speaker Kristen Smith!
Kristen Smith is a graphic designer and illustrator residing in Augusta, GA with her fiance Jon-Michael and three fur babies, Desmond, Penelope and Max. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to do something creative and began taking design classes in high school. After receiving a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia, she worked hard to establish a freelance career and officially launched her own company in 2011. Kristen is an award-winning designer, a celebrated creative for Minted.com, and has been working with NAPCP since it’s inception in 2009.
She has a passion for fresh and beautiful designs with subtle feminine hints and a dash of whimsy.   Her passion for design is rivaled only by her passion for animals. She has been an avid animal rights supporter for many years and presently works with a local rescue organization fostering and rehabilitating cats. When she is not designing or sketching, you can find her crafting or in the garden!  She is also an entertainment junkie and watches entirely too many movies and television shows. Kristen looks forward to the extraordinary possibilities each new day brings!
