Favorite Movie: Mary Poppins. Hands down. I know it by heart, and I love anything and everything that comes out of the franchise. I hear there is a number two in the works!? So excited!
Favorite Book: I am an avid reader. I love, love, love to read. I am particularly fond of anything that is really EASY to read so I can get through it quick. Mysteries, kids fantasies (Gregor The Overlander, anyone?) But if I HAD to choose a favorite book it would be Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved this one best because I really thought it took me further into the Harry Potter world.
Favorite Lens: Even though I don’t own it and I have to rent it when I want it, the Canon 24-70 is pretty sweet! My first time trying this lens out, and I love it so much I can’t stand it. You can’t get this close to a subject in a small room and not feel the love for this lens.

Favorite Magazine: Click. I can’t help but read it cover to cover every time I get one.
Favorite Website or Blog: 100 Days of Real Food. This is the place to go if you want to feed your family healthy foods and learn all you can about why processed foods are bad for you. I am a fan of doing things like this when I have the time. It’s not often, but when I do — I love to get down and dirty with my cooking.
Favorite Music: I am very eclectic when it comes to music but I love me some Uptown Funk, or Adele. I love everything from the Eagles to Dave Matthews, to Garth Brooks to Raffi. Don’t forget Disney. ANYTHING Disney.
Favorite Store: Hmm. I hate to shop. If I had the option, I would do everything online — which I routinely do. Picking a favorite store is hard. I love GAP but never buy from them due to the expensiveness of it all. Yes. I am cheap. HA! Amazon is really my best friend.
Favorite Local Spot: We live in this town in Northern California that is known for its history. “We have GOLD in them there hills!” Our little Main Street is booming with life, every day. My favorite store is called the Hardware store. They sell EVERYTHING. From cooking, canning, gold panning, to actual hardware supplies — if you can’t find it anywhere else, you can find it there. Lots of novelties and fun toys for the kids. I can spend hours a day just looking in there, and I can’t leave without buying something.
Photographer Idol: Totally Hilary Camilleri at One for the Wall Photography. I am a long time fan, and I love her processing, her style, and her overall kindness. How could you not fall in love with that?

Favorite Instagram Accounts: I am an avid outdoorswoman when I can be, so I love to follow accounts that post really pretty outdoor photos that include camping or hiking, etc. @campingwithdogs and @throughthepinesco
Favorite Pinners on Pinterest: Other than posting for myself on my business account (which happens automatically through my blog service), I don’t get on Pinterest unless I am searching for recipes. Anyone that has an enticing picture of a meal I think my family will enjoy, I am there.
Favorite Quotation: “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened!” Dr. Seuss. That is kinda self explanatory, right?
Most Interesting Place I’ve Traveled: I have to say that the most interesting place I have traveled would have to be Pikes Peak in Colorado. The coolest thing was that you got on a train in 90 degree weather, and when you got off at the top, it was snowing. Dramatic climate shift due to elevation gain. Our world is miraculous.
Favorite Family Vacation Spot: Anywhere that includes my entire family of four.

Guilty Pleasure: I have too many. Because I am a homeschooling mom, and I spend my days doing that, my nights need to be spent working on the business. So, watching TV when I should be working on my marketing is surely number one. Close second? Eating too many chocolate chip cookies.
If money were no object, my occupation would be: Family photographer with a studio space. I’m living the dream, except I have no studio. Yet …
What Makes Me Memorable: Like a lot of women, I have this issue with self confidence. So it is easy for me to say that I am not memorable in any way. But I like to think that I am the best friend anyone can ever have and I will do anything for those I love. I’m kind of fierce that way. I can’t say no to a request from a friend — no matter how crazy my life is. Your friends and family are all you have in the end. Treat them well.

A Favorite Personal Photograph: I have a lot of family photos that are my favorite. I could go on and on. But to pick a couple, I would have to pick these images of my dad as a kid. He is an avid baseball fan and I I love that even at a young age, this photo shows that. The second one reminds me to let my kids be kids. The fact that my dad even has these photos amazes me. He has been through a lot in the past ten years, and I didn’t know he had kept these photos. Printing is important. #printyourpictures

A Favorite Photograph from Your Business: Recently I made the discovery that I love documentary photography more than anything else, and I have made the “switch” within my business to reflect that. This photo is indicative of me switching my focus and trying something new. I feel like I am always doing that. Everyday, details, bright. This photo surely reflects my brand at its fullest.
