Kristen has had a successful newborn and family photography business in Charlotte, NC since 2012. Prior to that she worked in the wealth management industry providing retirement and investment solutions to high net worth families. She earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (TM) designation. A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is a financial professional who has met rigorous education, examination, experience, and ethical requirements to provide comprehensive personal financial planning advice. By combining her two areas of expertise, she is uniquely qualified to offer financial mentoring and coaching to creative business owners.

Kristen is passionate about financial literacy and education and knows that financial topics can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re a creative. Her goal is to make finance approachable—even for those who’ve never felt comfortable with numbers.

Kristen has developed a program called Be Financially Fit that is geared towards business owners in the creative industry. She spoke at ELEVATE in 2023 and has held several NAPCP member discussions.

By merging these two backgrounds, she offers guidance that is not only technically sound but also grounded in the realities of running a photography business. I understand how to translate financial strategies into practical steps that fit an unpredictable creative workflow. This unique blend of creative perspective and professional financial training allows me to help photography business owners make confident, informed decisions and build a business that supports both their art and their long-term financial success.
