The National Association of Portrait and Child Photographers is striving to bring together a community of passionate artists committed to growing their skills, their artistry, and their business. The best way to do this is through face-to-face connections! To be considered for NAPCP Ambassador status in the NAPCP community, please submit your application any time between December 2, 2025 and January 13, 2026.

Our NAPCP Ambassadors are the eyes, ears, and faces of NAPCP in their local communities, throughout the world. Additionally, NAPCP Ambassadors will provide leadership and positive influence in our private NAPCP Member Community Facebook group and hosted events. NAPCP Gatherings take place any time during a specified week. We ask that applicants make sure that they are available during these weeks before committing to being an Ambassador.

Our 2026 Gatherings dates are as follows:

April 13th – 19th | August 31 – September 6th

  • Host gatherings (#NAPCPgatherings) in your local area on dates provided by NAPCP.
  • Plan high value gatherings that photographers will be interested in participating in by including educational opportunities or meaningful discussions or shootouts that inspire collaboration and growth.
  • Submit event details to the NAPCP team by the deadline, so we can help promote your gathering within the community and across social media. Late submissions may not make it into our promotions.
  • Create invites and reach out to NAPCP members and non-member photographers in your area
  • Share information about Membership Benefits at your gatherings using the PDF provided by NAPCP.
  • Conduct yourself in a positive and professional manner, to support our industry and community
  • Bring your camera to each gathering to capture high-quality images, and share them with NAPCP to showcase the amazing energy and connections at your events.
  • Encourage any attendees who aren’t already NAPCP members to sign up for our email list, so they can stay connected and informed about upcoming events and opportunities.
  • Serve as the link for open communication between the NAPCP team and your local photographers, to continue NAPCP’s mission of growth and support in our industry and give feedback following your gathering to help us improve our program
  • Be open to sharing business ideas and helping others
  • Highlight and actively promote NAPCP sponsors during your gatherings.
  • Foster connections and conversations both in-person and in the NAPCP Member Community
  • Act as a digital ambassador for NAPCP by sharing and promoting content on Instagram and Facebook. Stay actively engaged in our NAPCP member community by responding to member questions and participating in community announcements.
  • Provide information to NAPCP after your event so we can continue to help our Ambassadors thrive in the future.
  • Free, 1 year membership to NAPCP
  • Be the first to hear about future events in the NAPCP community and give feedback
  • Featured on Ambassador page on the NAPCP website
  • Get special recognition on your profile in the NAPCP directory
  • Ambassador-exclusive NAPCP seal for promotional use on your website
