They say you don’t truly fall in love with a family until you capture their souls on camera. This was the case when Mandy Johnson and I flew to North Carolina to photograph the winners of the NAPCP Mommy Blogger Contest Winner last month.
Amber Smith is a “regular” in the blogging world. She loves to craft, turn forgotten furniture finds into cherished DIY projects, blog about her family adventures, and take photography classes so improve her new found love for the camera. I think she was meant to win this contest.
We arrived to Durham in freezing 30 degree temperatures, but that didn’t stop Amber and her beautiful family of 4 for this rare opportunity to be documented by Mandy. And despite the frightful wind and recovering from a week of sickness, Amber’s family laughed, cried, shrieked with joy and embraced the love that surrounded them.
