10 Jan Session Share: Fun in The Snow!
Inspiration
My inspiration for this session was to try out the idea of a snow session. I have always wanted to offer this type of session to my clients but had never actually done one. So when my kids got sent home early due to snow a few weeks ago, I figured it was a great chance to give it a try.
Favorite Element
My favorite element by far was the whimsy of the actual snow that was still falling during the session. It added movement, joy and even a calming serenity to the images.
Biggest Challenge
The biggest challenge was the temperature. It was chilly but with a bit of pre-planning I was able to work fast and photographed the whole session in under 20 minutes.
Final Thoughts
I am very excited about how fun these images were to make, both for my subject and for my own creative spirit. I am an on-location photographer so I am hoping to make these a unique and exciting session experience that will allow me to fill my calendar up and photograph outdoors during the winter months. (I had previously only been doing indoor sessions.)
