We are pleased to introduce May’s Featured Artist: Carolyn Ann Ryan of Carolyn Ann Ryan Photography! Based in Charlotte, N.C, Carolyn is an accomplished award-winning photographer who was recently announced as our 2020 Photographer of the Year! As an incredible creative visionary, Carolyn continues to represent the NAPCP community with professional integrity and commitment to being an exemplary ambassador and loyal friend to many!
Be sure to take a moment to read this month’s featured article, My Journey with Chronic Pain: How a 365 Project Saved My Life. Dawn Alexander of Freckleface Photography bares it all as she describes how her passion for photography has paved the path to a more positive life when dealing with chronic pain resulting from a life-changing accident. Stemming from a passion project in the wedding photography business, Dawn continuously advances her photography skills which recently lead to Master Photography Certifications in the Child and Baby categories.
Master Photographer Certification in the Family category is now closed but stay tuned for upcoming updates and announcements. The Maternity category will open on July 5, and we look forward to seeing your submissions of glowing new and expecting mothers!
You won’t want to miss this! Join us on Wednesday, June 23 from 5- 6:30 p.m. as we reveal the Top 100 Artists and Prints of our 2021 NAPCP Inspired Gallery Competition. The viewing event will be open to the public at no charge, but we do ask that all attendees RSVP. A Facebook Live event will be hosted at 6 p.m. EST to reveal the top 100 and final winning pieces for those who cannot attend in person. Click here to RSVP now! We hope to see you there!
We loved reviewing all submissions for this month’s “Story” theme, and submissions for June’s ”Water” theme are now open! Members and non-members are welcome to submit their photos through June 1 to be considered for our upcoming issue!
