Session Share – Fun Evening Family Session

Inspiration: I just wanted these guys to have fun and ‘go with the flow’.  Everything usually falls into place when that happens.
Favourite Element: Evening light, of course!  But I also just loved how this family connected with each other.  Especially the kids!  My children are about the same ages as these two, and I always love to see how other siblings their age interact.
Biggest Challenge: Believe it or not, mosquitoes!!!  We were plagued with mosquitoes for a couple of weeks here in Alberta – it was just awful.  But we managed to get enough bug spray on that evening and keep going.  That’s just part of the charm of living here in the summer!  Just needed some extra editing time to get rid of the darn things 😉
What the Client Said: It was refreshing to work with a photographer like you.  It was truly a great experience for our family and we all had so much fun.
Photographer’s Final Words: Family sessions can be challenging – mosquitoes or not!  But I really enjoy them.  Finding a way to get everyone to relax and just connect with each other is so important.  The images will be more meaningful for the client, and I believe that’s the whole point of family photography!  To show how much love they have for each other 🙂
